To Rise from the Ashes
To Rise from the Ashes: by Chris Sutton Your quality of life fundamentally depends on your current state of mind, your dealings with others and the stability of all things in your life big and small. It is a fact that you will eventually if not continually succeed in many areas over your life. Some successes are great and some just mean you survive the day, regardless humans are constantly succeeding in life . Success is a simple concept it means to progress past the point you were just at. It also means you may have to fight just to get past an obstacle or to just get back to what is normal for you.
The hardest thing to achieve is something you have already achieved before. For example your coach tells you to run a mile as fast as you can, so you do. When you’re done your coach then states- Run the mile again and you have to get the same time or better. If you don’t get the same time or better we will run this until you do or you quit.
Obviously the first mile was easy, repeating the performance is much harder and will take tremendous effort.
Look at everything in your world. Your house, cars, toys, friends, money, family, hobbies and anything you like that I didn’t’ mention. Now let’s pretend you life is a small group of houses in a gated community. Do you have the vision yet?
Now you gated community ( life) ,was just hit by a tornado that ripped most of the houses apart and many of their foundation.
What’s left after something like this? Your foundations, or core structure. When struck with a devastating force most if not all structures maintain their core or foundation.
A persons core is exposed when they experience something like this. On you core , like a house, you can rebuild. Not only can you rebuild but you can eliminate old mistakes, build higher , stronger and better. The only catch is that you must have a strong foundation to begin with.
Some people will buckle in the face of minor challenges thus going thru life with a compromised foundation. Life is great for the most part and hopefully non-traumatic.
If a storm hit today what kind of core foundation would it expose? You just may have to rise from the ashes . If this is the case build a stronger and better structure on your core foundation.
